Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate in Indianapolis. You will support warehouse operations, price merchandise, and assist donors while contributing to program funding in the community.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Warehouse experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move products to correct departments.
  • Price merchandise according to guidelines.
  • Track production numbers and complete reports.
  • Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist donors with donation drop-offs.
  • Complete donation receipts accurately.
  • Collect and track donor information.
  • Process various types of donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. This dynamic role combines hands-on warehouse operations with the opportunity to mentor and support program beneficiaries in their work therapy development. You'll help maintain an organized warehouse while making a meaningful impact in people's lives.

What You’ll Do
Warehouse Operations
  • Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
  • Price merchandise according to guidelines
  • Track production numbers and complete reports

  • Operate warehouse equipment as trained

  • Assist donors with donation drop-offs

Equipment Operation

May be trained to operate:

  • Baler
  • Compactor
  • Elevator
  • Other warehouse equipment
Training Provided

What You Need
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Warehouse experience beneficial
