Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Birmingham, AL is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload trucks, accurately pick paint and related products, and ship orders to customers. The role moves material within the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, and conveyors to support efficient distribution.

Responsibilities include organizing stock, inspecting products, processing shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• One year of experience in manufacturing or distribution is preferred.
• One year of experience operating mobile power equipment (e.g., lift trucks, tow motors).
• One year of experience operating stationary power equipment (e.g., conveyors, hoists).
• Experience in order picking and data entry is preferred.
• Experience as a picker/packer in a warehouse or distribution center is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick orders.
• Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Examine incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items.
• Operate robots to facilitate warehouse operations.
• Coordinate site damage/re-pour area.
• Abide by safety and quality expectations.
• Contribute ideas to improve warehousing procedures.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily.
