Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to manage and coordinate activities in the assigned work area. Provide on-the-job training and interact with customers at management levels to ensure work completion and compliance with quality and safety processes.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 6pm. The role involves leading shift activities, ensuring tools and materials are ready, and maintaining documentation, while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts
• Reliable attendance is essential
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset
• Must be comfortable working with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries
• Previous professional interactions with customers and/or vendors
• Must read, write and speak basic English
• Computer literate, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email software
• Safety Mindset

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process for the assigned tables and customer products.
• Lead by example, maintain organization, and practice good housekeeping.
• Ensure all employees follow health and safety policies and procedures.
• Report accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Coordinate shift start activities (tables, paperwork, duties).
• Ensure tools and materials are available for on-site jobs.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager regarding completion of objectives and tasks.
• Report policy or procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives and requirements.
• Interact with the Customer regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure documentation and paperwork are submitted daily.
