Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Missouri to guide and support warehouse associates in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. You will assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure safety and quality compliance across shifts.

Responsibilities include loading orders, researching discrepancies, training staff on SOPs, providing coaching, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining effective communication between shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
• 2–3 years of forklift experience.
• Current or prior MHE certification.
• Fluent in English, oral and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Ability to perform required standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support warehouse associates in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control
• Assign and monitor work to ensure productivity, accuracy, safety, and quality compliance
• Load orders accurately according to appropriate doors and trailers
• Research shipping and receiving discrepancies
• Train new and existing associates on Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback
• Assist with problem-solving and elevate operational issues to the Supervisor or Manager
• Ensure proper equipment and PPE use and adherence to safety policies
• Perform quality and inventory checks to minimize errors and damages
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain communication between shifts and departments for smooth handoffs and workflow
