Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking an Associate Shipper/Receiver to manage shipping, receiving, and stocking finished goods. This role operates in a fast-paced warehouse in Theodore, AL, using ERP systems to process pallets and prepare shipments.

You will handle labels, packing lists, and bills of lading, maintain safety standards, and perform other duties as assigned. A valid forklift cert and HazMat training will be provided at hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 0-3 months of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Equipment: Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Attendance: Reliable, punctual attendance per policy.
• Reading comprehension to read safety rules and manuals.
• Communication: convey information across departments clearly.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet; pull, package, and palletize products.
• Create and apply documents like shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
