Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Theodore, AL is hiring an Associate Shipper/Receiver to perform shipping, receiving, and stocking of finished goods to fulfill customer orders. This full-time, non-exempt role requires attention to safety and the ability to operate warehouse equipment.

You will utilize ERP and tablets to generate labels and packing lists, maintain inventory accuracy, and support a clean, organized warehouse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Powered Industrial Truck certification required (will certify at hire).
• DOT HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 0-3 months of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Receive, stock, and rotate product.
• Identify, tag, store and locate finished inventory.
• Create and apply documents, such as shipping labels, packing list, and bills of lading for each pallet/shipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
