Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is hiring a Shipper/Receiver in Kent, WA. The role is a Swing shift (1:00pm – 9:30pm) for full-time, non-exempt employment. You will ship, receive, stock finished goods, and support order fulfillment using an ERP system and forklifts.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification at hire, and HazMat/ DOT training. The position offers benefits and a comprehensive rewards program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operation and safety training required/certified at hire.
• HazMat training and forklift certification will be certified at hire.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards.
• Receive, stock, and rotate product.
• Identify, tag, store and locate finished inventory. (70%)
• Create and apply documents, such as shipping labels, packing list, and bills of lading for each pallet/shipment. (10%)
• Maintain a clean work environment. (10%)
• Other duties as assigned. (10%)
