Job summary

Roadtex Transportation seeks a capable warehouse supervisor to lead and develop staff at our Indiana facilities. You will schedule, train, and evaluate dock personnel, ensuring on-time freight delivery and damage-free pickups.

You’ll coordinate with Linehaul and terminal teams, monitor costs, and drive safety and efficiency across shifts. Applicants should have 3+ years of logistics leadership, strong communication, and a knack for problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading a logistics team or similar experience.
• Associates Degree or similar discipline preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop company employees.
• Provide training and monitor the employees' performance.
• Coach/counsel employees on performance and development and document performance-related material.
• Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers' freight is delivered and picked up timely and damage-free.
• Communicate with Linehaul/dispatch at various terminals and with dock employees to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight.
• Develop a plan for distributing break loads to achieve goals.
• Monitor service freight and ensure Linehaul compliance.
• Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and setting appointments.
• Perform administrative functions, as required.
• Monitor actual performance data and gather information for reporting.
• Communicate with Account Managers to ensure customers' and company's needs are met.
• Ensure all OS&D is identified and processed properly.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Implement company policy.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
