Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, now part of Echo Global Logistics, seeks a skilled warehouse supervisor to lead and develop a team across shifts and dock areas. You will train staff, monitor performance, coordinate with Linehaul/dispatch, and ensure on-time, damage-free freight handling.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to OSHA, effective communication, and the ability to plan daily manpower needs to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading a logistics team or similar experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop company employees across shifts and dock areas.
• Provide training and monitor employees' performance; document performance material.
• Plan daily manpower needs to ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight.
• Coordinate with Linehaul/dispatch at various terminals and with dock staff.
• Develop a plan for distributing break loads to achieve goals.
• Monitor service freight and ensure Linehaul compliance.
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and setting appointments.
• Perform administrative functions and report on performance data.
• Communicate with Account Managers to align customer and company needs.
• Ensure OS&D is identified and processed properly.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and implement company policy.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
