Job summary

Maverick Pipe, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Warehouse Associate to support operations at our Richmond, KY facility. Under supervision, you'll pick, pack, and load steel tube and pipe, adhering to procedures and quality standards.

You will use standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling. Responsibilities include safe work practices, order processing, packing, loading, receiving, and inventory rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing.
• Basic math skills to support order processing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce safe work practices and policies.
• Prepare materials and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders with verification using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto trucks and coordinate with carriers.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials; report damages.
• Replenish stock and rotate inventory with forklifts and reach trucks.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Improve shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain onsite attendance.

Job Description

Maverick Pipe, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations at our Richmond, KY facility. Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. The position operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient and accurate material handling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials; report damages or discrepancies.
• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

• Basic math skills to support accurate order processing.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving ability to address day-to-day warehouse challenges.
• High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
