Job summary

Zekelman Industries' Maverick Pipe division in Richmond, KY seeks a Warehouse Associate to support operations and ensure accurate material handling of steel tube and pipe.

Under direct supervision, you will pick, pack, and load shipments, operate forklifts and order pickers, maintain safety, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards. We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate order processing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials; report damages or discrepancies.
• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

Job Description

Maverick Pipe, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations at our Richmond, KY facility.

Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. The position operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient and accurate material handling.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
