Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking an onsite Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and load steel tube and pipe, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will operate standard warehouse equipment and support shipping/receiving procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Role requires a high school diploma (technical training preferred) and at least 2 years of warehouse experience in steel or tubing. We value attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing.

Responsibilities

• Champions and enforces safe work practices per company policies and regulations.
• Prepares materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Processes and fulfills orders from customers and internal teams.
• Picks, packs, and stages orders with scanning tools for accuracy.
• Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receives, inspects, and processes incoming materials; reports damages.
• Replenishes warehouse stock and rotates inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks.
• Standardizes and optimizes shipping/receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

About The Role:

Under direct supervision, responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. Operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling.

• Standardizes and optimizes shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.
• High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.
