Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a Warehouse Associate to support picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe onsite. You will follow established procedures, verify orders with scanning tools, and help ensure on-time distribution to customers.

You'll operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment, inspect inbound materials, replenish stock, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy and quality. Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Picks, packs, and loads steel tube and pipe following procedures.
• Processes and fulfills customer and internal orders with scanning tools.
• Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receives, inspects, and reports damaged incoming materials.
• Replenishes stock and rotates inventory using forklifts/reach trucks.
• Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Standardizes shipping/receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling.Job ResponsibilitiesChampions and enforces safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Prepares materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.Processes and fulfills orders from customers and internal teams.Picks, packs, and stages orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.Receives, inspects, and processes incoming materials, reporting any damages.Replenishes warehouse stock and rotates inventory using a reach truck or forklift.Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.Standardizes and optimizes shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.Performs additional duties as assigned.Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge / Skills / CompetenciesBasic math skills for accurate order processing.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
