Job summary

Zekelman Industries is hiring a warehouse associate in Kentucky to pick, pack, and load steel tubing and pipe. Under direct supervision, you will operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and scanning tools to fulfill customer orders and internal transfers.

You will receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, replenish stock, and help optimize shipping and receiving procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards. Regular onsite attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Strong math and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and load steel tube and pipe on time following procedures.
• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks and pallet jacks.
• Verify orders with scanners for accuracy.
• Receive, inspect and report damaged materials.
• Replenish stock and rotate inventory.
• Standardize shipping/receiving procedures for accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Onsite full-time attendance is required.

About The Role

Under direct supervision, responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. Operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling.

• Champions and enforces safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Processes and fulfills orders from customers and internal teams.
• Picks, packs, and stages orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Loads shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receives, inspects, and processes incoming materials, reporting any damages.
• Replenishes warehouse stock and rotates inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
• Operates forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
• Standardizes and optimizes shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.
