Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a distribution center supervisor to oversee receipt, stocking, order filling, and shipment of merchandise. The role may supervise staff operating rolling stock and automated equipment within a fast-paced DC environment.

You will review WMS reports, implement SOPs, manage staffing plans with the Inbound/Outbound Manager, and plan daily production goals while maintaining accurate employee records and supporting safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Understanding of inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of inbound/outbound warehouse functions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Conflict resolution and one-to-one communication skills.
• Good interviewing, oral and written communication.
• Proficient with WMS, Excel, Word and KRONOS.

Responsibilities

• Supervises receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise.
• May supervise employees who operate rolling stock equipment and/or automated equipment.
• Reviews WMS reports; notifies WMS personnel regarding shutdowns or other WMS failures.
• Utilizes SOPs to resolve problems; communicates issues to Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Reviews staffing levels and plans with Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Plans daily production goals.
• Maintains employee records daily.
• Supports safety programs to reduce injuries.
• Interviews and selects candidates in partnership with Human Resources.
• Conducts counseling sessions and can dismiss employees when needed.
