Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Lockbourne location to lead hourly staff and ensure customer requirements are met while achieving Penske goals.

The role oversees daily operations including loading/unloading, cross-docking and customer service, with responsibility for staffing, scheduling and performance coaching. Bonus eligibility depends on individual and location performance, with flexibility during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• Must have ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers at all levels.
• Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Experience with inventory management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce.
• Supervise processes including scheduling and transportation activities.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance standards with coaching.
• Conduct team meetings and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, financial policies and procedures.
• Interact with customers to meet location goals and service levels.
• Plan work assignments and coordinate equipment usage and maintenance.
