Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a single warehouse location, guiding hourly staff to meet customer requirements and company objectives. The role involves directing loading/unloading, cross-docking, and customer service in a cost-aware manner.

Responsibilities include supervising processes, hiring input, and resolving issues with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement at the site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading at a warehousing or distribution site.
• Proven ability to drive improvements and lead change.
• Strong communication with hourly staff and leadership.
• Comfort with basic computer and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to staff.
• Evaluate and implement methods to increase warehouse productivity.
• Provide coverage for operational duties during time off.
• Maintain knowledge of site systems to ensure compliance and resolve exceptions.
• Complete records and reports accurately and on time.
