Job summary

Penske Automotive Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Seattle to provide leadership over hourly staff and ensure daily tasks such as loading/unloading, cross-docking, and customer service meet company objectives. You will supervise scheduling, discipline, and corrective actions, and participate in hiring and meetings as needed.

You will coach and develop associates, monitor productivity, and drive process improvements to boost efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous supervisory role in a logistics environment preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• Must have ability to connect and build rapport/relationships with associates and external customers at all levels.
• Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Experience with inventory management system preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hourly workforce and coordinators.
• Schedule workforce and equipment; ensure safety and compliance.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching.
• Monitor attendance and productivity; provide corrective action.
• Improve processes to increase warehouse productivity.
• Support in hiring and related meetings as necessary.
• Provide coverage and ensure operational continuity during shifts.
