Job summary

Floor & Decor in Town of Webster, NY is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to direct daily warehouse operations at our store. You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, schedule staff, and support the Receiving Supervisor to manage freight according to customer and inventory needs.

You will lead safety programs, ensure training and SOP adherence, coordinate with other departments, and drive efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with other departments and maintain relationships.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in basic math calculations.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily warehouse staffing to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving.
• Direct the day-to day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs; ensure safe, efficient equipment.
• Uphold warehouse safety programs per OSHA regulations and train associates on SOPs.
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures.
• Handle general employee inquiries and solve problems; coordinate with other departments.
• Complete activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure proper staging for counting.
• Oversee inventory rotation and proper storage space usage.
• Perform other related duties as directed by management.
