POOLCORP, SCP Distributors in Sarasota, FL, seeks an Operations Manager to lead warehouse operations, staffing, and inventory control. You will coordinate orders, manage vendors, and ensure safety and efficiency across the distribution network.

The role requires 3–5 years of operations experience in wholesale warehousing, plus strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to manage a team. On-site with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations experience in wholesale/industrial distribution.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Proficient with MS Office and Inventory Management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of pool, spa, or related industrial goods helpful.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, direct and manage warehouse staff.
• Review open orders, purchases, vendor claims and transfers.
• Ensure proper warehouse safety procedures.
• Consult with regional buyers/vendors on price, availability and delivery.
• Manage inventory, prevent stockouts and reduce excess stock.
• Train new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures.
• Support sales staff in meeting sales objectives.
• Handle freight expenses and approve invoices.
