Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking an Operations Manager to lead procurement and warehouse activities for its SCP Distributors network in Tampa, FL. You will hire and mentor staff, oversee order processing, and drive efficiency across inventory and distribution.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree preference, 3–5 years in operations, and strong communication skills. The role includes safety oversight, vendor coordination, and opportunities for career growth within a global leader in outdoor living

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of operations experience in wholesale/industrial distribution.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities for procuring products for sales and distribution.
• Hire, train, and manage warehouse staff and drivers.
• Review open sales/purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers.
• Ensure warehouse safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with regional buyers/vendors for price, availability, and delivery.
• Manage freight expenses and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Oversee order routing, loading, and shipment preparation.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures.
