Job summary

POOLCORP in Tucson, AZ is hiring an Operations Manager to direct and coordinate procurement and distribution activities for our warehouse network. The role oversees hiring, training, and supervising staff, reviews orders and vendor communications, and drives inventory accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's preferred, 3–5 years of warehouse leadership in distribution, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and inventory management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• MS Office and Inventory Management software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities involved with procuring products for sales and distribution.
• Hire, train, direct and manage warehouse staff.
• Review open orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers.
• Review warehouse procedures and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with regional buyers/vendors for price, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Manage inventory, control stock outs and reduce excess inventory.
• Approve freight invoices and manage freight expenses.
• Overssee routing, loading and preparation of orders for shipment.
• Train new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures.
• Support sales staff in meeting sales objectives.
