Job summary

NFI Industries in Nashville is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities, supervise staff, and drive attainment of daily production goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or 1-5 years supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
• Fast paced, quickly changing environment experience.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
• Experience with seasonal work forces is a plus.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma tools and performance metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse equipment knowledge.
• Willingness to pursue OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT/FDA certifications as needed.
• Strong talent management, teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements shipping and receiving work schedules to meet goals.
• Provides direct supervision to warehouse personnel and assigns tasks by skill.
• Supervises inbound/outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensures equipment is used efficiently and coordinates maintenance.
• Reviews daily objectives and sets productivity requirements.
• Balances labor with leadership to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Drafts and submits daily end-of-shift reports.
• Offers recommendations to improve operations and leads related programs.
• Conducts pre-shift meetings covering productivity and workload forecasts.
• Trains and motivates personnel, and ensures onboarding adherence.
• Maintains HR practices and handles employee relations with HR support.
• Provides coaching and feedback for performance growth.
• Travel to other warehouses for meetings or coverage as needed.
