Job summary

Sysco Corp. in Charlotte is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, putaway, picking and shipping while promoting safety and efficiency. You will coach staff, monitor productivity, and ensure accurate processing, inventory control, and adherence to policies.

Direct supervision of 15-25 colleagues, collaboration with Transportation and Inventory Control, and responsibility for payroll timekeeping, safety compliance and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred, or 3–5 years warehouse-related experience.
• Completion of a supervisory training program is required.
• Certification on material handling equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Send/receive communications to colleagues and management as needed.
• Monitor receiving and shipping to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Coach staff on safety, job knowledge, and performance standards.
• Plan and schedule coverage for vacations, holidays, and shift fill-ins.
• Balance staff and monitor productivity using labor management tools.
• Evaluate and coach colleagues to improve performance and reduce overtime.
• Collaborate with Transportation and Inventory Control to maintain flow and integrity.
• Ensure warehouse security, equipment maintenance, and safe work practices.
• Ensure payroll timekeeping accuracy and timely submission.
