Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee distribution activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations in our Virginia RDC. The role focuses on receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping with accountability for productivity and accuracy.

You will lead 15–25 colleagues, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with Transportation and Inventory Control to maximize throughput and uphold quality standards. A supervisory background and a safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or three to five years warehouse related experience and/or training.
• Completion of a supervisory training program is also required.
• Certification on material handling equipment is required, or the ability to become certified.
• Must be able to plan and organize work and time, analyze, and disseminate numerical data.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise fifteen to twenty-five colleagues.
• Ensure work standards are met to receive, put away and ship merchandise efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor receiving and shipping procedures to optimize operations for customer satisfaction.
• Plan and schedule staffing to cover vacations, holidays, and other shifts.
• Coach colleagues on safety, performance, and policy compliance.
• Monitor workload and productivity using the labor management system.
• Coordinate with Transportation, Inventory Control and Operations Systems to maintain product integrity.
• Maintain warehouse appearance, maintenance, and security of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and wage/hour payroll accuracy.
