Penske Logistics in San Diego is seeking an Operations Supervisor to provide leadership at a single warehousing site, directing hourly staff to meet customer requirements while achieving Penske goals.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, training, safety, and continuous improvement; the role offers a 4:00 AM - 1:30 PM shift Tuesday through Saturday with a bonus-eligible structure based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelors' Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Train and ensure supervisors and associates are competent and aligned with customer objectives.
• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
• Interview hourly associates and provide hire recommendations.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and provide coaching.
• Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight handling and documentation.
• Evaluate methods to increase warehouse productivity and assist in training.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct safety observations.
