Job summary

The SYGMA Network is seeking an Operations Supervisor for day warehouse operations in Virginia. You will supervise receiving, replenishment, storage, and day-to-day activities, ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to company policies while directing warehouse staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating with third-party unloaders, managing schedules, monitoring labor and supplies within budget, and driving efficiency improvements while maintaining quality control and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2–4 year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents; write reports and communicate with groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of employees engaged in receiving, replenishing and storing inbound products.
• Manages Will Call operations including replenishment, selection, and loading with temperature controls and QA guidelines.
• Monitors labor hours and consumable supplies within budget; prepares work schedules.
• Coordinates required repairs with proper departments and ensures audits and documentation are completed (HACCP, food safety, catch-weight).
• Coordinates communication between third-party unloading service, inbound scheduling and warehouse management for efficient inbound operations.
• Aids with training of new associates and cross-training; maintains regular department meetings and open communication.
• Drives efficiency ideas, cost reductions, and implements changes; monitors sanitation and facility/racking safety.
