Job summary

Floor & Decor in Frederick, MD is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to direct daily warehouse operations and supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators; will support the Receiving Supervisor in managing freight schedules based on customer and inventory needs.

You will schedule manpower, oversee shipping and receiving, maintain inventory accuracy, ensure safety programs and OSHA compliance, and train associates to follow standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in basic math and computer skills including Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure efficient shipping and receiving.
• Direct daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Oversee storage buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure safety programs and OSHA compliance; train associates.
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize operations.
• Prepare activity reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and receiver reports.
