Job summary

Floor & Decor in New York is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee store warehouse operations, supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, and assist the Receiving Supervisor with daily freight scheduling in response to customer and inventory needs.

The role requires scheduling, shipping/receiving oversight, inventory control and safety program management, plus training and SOP adherence to ensure efficient distribution and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day activities in shipping, receiving, inventory control and maintenance.
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Implement and monitor warehouse safety programs per OSHA regulations.
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve problems; coordinate with other departments.
• Prepare activity reports and ensure timely data entry from Receiving to Inventory Control.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, packing slips and receiver reports.
• Ensure products are staged, stored properly, and inventory rotated.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
