Job summary

Design Within Reach in Batavia, OH is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse activities on the assigned shift. You’ll drive safety, quality, and cost objectives while ensuring timely order fulfillment and accurate inventory.

You’ll build and coach a capable team, manage inventory control programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and audit compliance. Hands-on leadership with lifting up to 75 lbs and forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds consistently.
• Forklift, electric pallet jack, cherry picker experience (preferred).
• Mobile hand-held device experience (preferred).
• Strong multitasking and communication ability.
• Knowledge of operational budgeting process and P&L accountability.
• MS Excel and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day shift activities to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives.
• Manage inventory functions to achieve goals for shipping time, fill rate, location accuracy, and counts.
• Develop and manage a strong team, overseeing training and coaching to meet goals.
• Ensure safety, security, productivity, and employee satisfaction align with objectives.
• Oversee warehouse inventory control programs and audits, maintaining compliance.
• Continuously seek process improvements and best practices in distribution.
