Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking an Operations Team Lead to supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehousing activities for the assigned shift. You will ensure resources are allocated to meet safety, quality, customer service, and cost targets, while backing up the Operations Supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support daily operations, reporting, and workflow execution.
• Prior Team Lead or Acting Supervisor experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, RF scanners, conveyors).

Responsibilities

• Back up the Operations Supervisor in their absence.
• Ensure team members understand safety, quality guidelines and procedures.
• Identify, document, and develop solutions to workflow problems and issues.
• Lead and coordinate all teams and activities for the shift to meet safety, quality, customer expectations, and cost objectives.
• Provide the Operations Supervisor with feedback on team member performance.
• Report on customer service, employee safety, equipment, or facility issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Review daily team assignments to ensure staffing levels meet demand.
• Update and maintain the schedule to meet customer demand and reporting needs.
