Job summary

TAPCO is hiring for a Material Handler in Brown Deer, WI. The role centers on receiving, storing, packing, and shipping items with strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adaptability in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work 1st shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with on-the-job training for stand-up and other forklifts. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret English instructions.
• Operate forklift and other powered equipment.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with various units of measure.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to variables.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Able to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Computer skills – Basic data entry.
• Able to work in a team or independently.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate needed warehouse equipment as assigned.
• Counts and verifies items against records.
• Use WMS to process orders and inventory data.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE.
• Retrieve products and assemble customer orders.
• Package items and apply shipping labels.
• Unload and load shipments.
• Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
• Train and adapt to role changes as needed.
