Job summary

Didion Milling, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler for our packaging plant. You will keep materials moving, operate forklifts, maintain inventory, and support production teams to ensure smooth workflows.

Requirements include a high school diploma, material handling experience (packaging a plus), forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and strong attention to detail. We value safety, teamwork, and initiative for process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Keep materials moving using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and organized storage areas
• Stage materials for production to keep workflows smooth
• Support machine operators and the production team
• Monitor and restock packaging supplies to eliminate downtime
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow safety protocols to keep everyone safe
• Share ideas to improve processes and efficiency
• Ensure quality and care in all materials handled

What the Work Environment Requires

• Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy conditions
• Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly
• Frequent stair/ladder use and continuous standing
• Work safely at heights over 20'
• Ability to enter confined spaces following safety procedures
• Use and hear 2-way radios
• Ability to maneuver equipment in tight areas
