Z Transportation is a family-owned transportation and logistics company based in New Jersey. We are seeking a Business Development Manager – Warehouse & Logistics to win new warehousing and logistics business and help source capacity as needed.

This on-site role requires a hunter mindset and a willingness to travel up to 50% for client meetings and site visits. You will build a robust pipeline, run discovery meetings, and negotiate contracts while coordinating closely with operations to ensure

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
• Proven track record of finding and closing new business.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and fulfillment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for meetings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Find and qualify companies needing warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, or logistics services.
• Build a pipeline through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and industry events.
• Run discovery meetings and warehouse tours.
• Prepare proposals covering storage, handling, pick/pack, fulfillment, cross-dock, transportation, and value-added services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Close new accounts and coordinate a handoff to operations.
• Grow revenue within existing accounts where it makes sense.
• Track activity, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM.
