Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Portage, MI is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates while handling shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling tasks. The role includes backup to supervisors, daily reporting, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will participate in cycle counts, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance with SQFI, FDA, and customers, ensuring smooth operations and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Contribute to safety, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products and materials for distribution.
• Complete paperwork per SOPs and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances.
• Provide backup to supervising roles and ensure compliance with SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
