Job summary

Kenco Group in Portage, MI, is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates while performing the Lead’s own tasks. You will guide teams in shipping/receiving, packing, inventory control and general warehouse duties, with backup support to the supervisor as needed.

You’ll conduct training for new warehouse staff and forklift drivers, perform safety inspections, manage paperwork, help with cycle counts, and ensure compliance with SQFI/FDA and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse/distribution operations.
• 6 months of supervisory or lead experience.
• Licensed forklift operator or able to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers.
• Conduct safety and PIT (powered industrial truck) inspections and certifications.
• Operate equipment to move products and manage material handling tasks.
• Complete shipping/receiving paperwork and labels per SOPs.
• Participate in inventory/cycle counts and report variances.
• Support supervisor and backfill across warehouse functions as needed.
