Job summary

Kenco Group in Portage, MI is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse teams, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency across shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse tasks.

The Lead will certify PIT operators, conduct performance and maintenance observations, and support the supervisor as needed. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years warehouse operations experience.
• At least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train warehouse associates and forklift drivers.
• Conduct PIT and annual recertification training and safety observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products and materials.
• Complete shipping/tracking paperwork per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances.
• Perform daily safety inspections and keep the facility inspection-ready.
