Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Portage, MI is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates, oversee daily tasks, and provide backup to supervision. The role includes training forklift drivers, conducting PIT certifications, and ensuring safe operation of equipment in a dynamic distribution environment.

The Lead will support inventory control, paperwork accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months leadership or supervisory experience.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train teammates to fulfill daily tasks and support the Lead's responsibilities.
• Train forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products for distribution.
• Complete shipping/tracking labels and paperwork per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and maintain inspection readiness.
• Communicate incidents to supervisor and ensure proper product rotation.
• Review daily production reports and back up other warehouse roles as needed.
