Job summary

Sysco Virginia Redistribution Center is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, put-away, and shipping activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate operations. You will manage staffing, coach colleagues, and collaborate with Transportation and Inventory Control to optimize flow and reduce waste.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to ensure policy adherence and productivity targets within a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3–5 years warehouse experience.
• Certification on material handling equipment required, or ability to become certified.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills between colleagues, peers, and RDC management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor receiving and shipping procedures for efficient loading and unloading.
• Plan and schedule staffing to cover vacations, holidays, and leave.
• Monitor workflow and productivity using the labor management system.
• Coach and evaluate colleagues and address performance issues.
• Ensure safety compliance and reduce overtime where possible.
• Maintain warehouse integrity and security.
