Job summary

TIG Distributing Inc is seeking a Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations by combining hands-on work with team guidance and coordination. You will help ensure tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time, while assisting leadership with training and process improvements.

The role drives productivity and quality across the operation by serving as a resource for team members and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
• Lead or informal leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
• Experience with WMS and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
• Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Serve as primary floor contact in absence of a Supervisor.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new employees and ongoing coaching of staff.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet daily goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Use WMS and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
• Identify operational issues and communicate them to leadership.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to boost productivity and reduce errors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Check equipment operation and report maintenance needs.
