Job summary

TIG Distributing Inc is seeking a Floor Lead to support daily warehouse operations by combining hands-on work with team guidance. You will help ensure accuracy, safety, and on-time completion while assisting leadership with training and process improvement.

Responsibilities include supervising tasks, coaching staff, using WMS and scanners to track inventory, and driving productivity and quality across the operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
• Previous lead or informal leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
• Experience with WMS and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
• Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Use WMS and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product handling.
• Identify and communicate operational issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies to leadership.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Check equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs.
• Assist in resolving minor employee concerns and elevate more complex issues as needed.
