Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is hiring a Warehouse Lead to coordinate and direct all department workflow. You will be the main contact for your department and lead safety, training and process improvements to meet business goals.

Responsibilities include supervising attendance, assigning tasks, and backing up the department manager as needed. Strong communication with customers and teammates is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• 3 years warehouse experience.
• 3 years customer contact experience.
• Lead experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, pull required weights per dept. requirements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Ability to operate scanning equipment preferred.
• Night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening including criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: ensure staff complete required safety and service trainings.
• Work with management to maintain departmental policies, procedures, training material and communications.
• Track attendance and time off requests; assign tasks and monitor progress.
• Train new and current staff on equipment, policies and process improvements.
• Complete departmental projects and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor safety and proper use of equipment.
• Interact with internal and external customers.
