Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead to coach and train warehouse associates, oversee daily tasks, and provide backup to the supervisor. Responsibilities span shipping/receiving, inventory control, and material handling, with safety as a priority.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years warehouse ops and 6 months leadership, and a forklift operator license or ability to obtain one. We value accuracy, teamwork, and a proactive safety mindset in a fast-paced distribution

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct observations and safety checks, and ensure safe operation of powered industrial equipment.
• Move products, load/unload, and store materials in designated areas per SOPs and regulations.
• Handle paperwork like shipping/tracking labels and comply with regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Assist in inventory/cycle counts and report variances to leadership.
• Support daily inspections and keep the facility inspection-ready for audits (SQFI, FDA, customer needs).
• Back up other warehouse roles as needed and assist on duties in other departments.
