Job description

We are looking for a skilled and tech-savvy Warehouse Lead who can take charge of day-to-day warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be highly functional across all warehouse areas and able to train new hires on various levels of Warehouse Operator duties (Entry Level Material Handler Level I, II, and III). This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance leadership responsibilities while ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance.

As a Warehouse Lead, you will coordinate workflows, manage inventory, supervise warehouse teams, and maintain high safety and cleanliness standards. You will also support the warehouse manager when absent and step in as a backup for operational decisions.

What You'll Do

1. Lead Daily Warehouse Operations
2. Coordinate and support loading and unloading processes
3. Ensure forklift drivers and slip sheet operators handle materials accurately
4. Optimize warehouse space and product placement through consolidation strategies
5. Inventory & Systems Management
6. Operate WMS platforms like PRISM and Tarantella to track and manage inventory
7. Maintain accurate documentation and oversee proper product rotation
8. Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy
9. Train and Develop Skills of New Hires
10. Mentor new employees on warehouse operations, including Entry Level Material Handler and Warehouse Operator duties at Levels I, II, and III
11. Ensure team members are trained on safety procedures, product handling, and equipment use
12. Supervisory & Team Leadership
13. Oversee warehouse staff ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently
14. Act as Warehouse Manager in their absence, making decisions aligned with company policy
15. Assist in performance reviews, training, and addressing employee issues
16. Safety & Compliance
17. Enforce AIB and SQF food safety standards and sanitation
18. Promote safe working practices and support safety meetings
19. Communication & Customer Focus
20. Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure smooth operations and satisfaction
21. Provide regular updates to management on operations, safety, and team performance

What You Bring

1. Experience & Knowledge
2. Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, including forklift and slip sheet operation
3. Experience in a lead or supervisory role with the ability to train others
4. Proficiency with PRISM WMS and Microsoft Office
5. Technical Skills
6. Comfort with warehouse technology and inventory systems
7. Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
8. Certifications (Preferred)
9. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification
