Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a 3rd shift warehouse lead to coordinate daily operations in cold & dry storage. You will assign work, monitor safety, quality, and productivity to meet customer standards.

Responsibilities include directing associates, handling inspections, forklift operation, and ongoing liaison with Traffic and Customer Service. Requires 3 years in warehousing, ability to lift 40 lbs, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Able to work in cold storage down to -20°F (-29°C) and in hot conditions up to 100°F (37°C).
• Must lift a minimum of 40 lbs and use PPE.
• Must be able to work a flexible shift, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and direct work of warehouse associates in a designated area.
• Report defective or damaged products and follow up with corrective action.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service; coach associates.
• Perform assigned projects as instructed.

3rd shift scheduleMonday-Friday 11:30PM-7AMPartner with Operations Leadership to make sure all functions of the warehouse are completed. Assign work to warehouse associates to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, assign and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated areaReport defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action in a timely mannerManage warehouse associate responsibilities as needed including loading and unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, etc.Handle and document daily inspections including equipment inspections and inbound/outbound trailer inspectionsCheck inbound/outbound shipments for compliance, and report quantity difference and quality issues where applicableMaintain communication with Traffic and Customer ServiceCoach and provide feedback to warehouse associatesADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform assigned projects as instructedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environmentAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gearMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facilityAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededMust be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudPay Range:$21.15 - $36.25Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
