Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking dependable forklift operators for its Friona, TX warehouse. The role involves moving goods in a cold/dry storage environment using forklifts and RF scanners, with shifts on 2nd and 3rd.

You will put away, pick, and package palletized items, update counts, and ensure accurate labeling and wrapping for shipping. Applicants should be able to lift 40 lbs, work weekends if needed, and comply with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Identify products by reading and scanning pallet IDs.
• Perform basic math and follow instructions in English.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move items.
• Put away and pick palletized units from rack locations.
• Record weights, counts, and item condition via RF system.
• Load/unload on pallets and seal/label for shipping.
• Document damages and discrepancies to supervisors.
• Perform daily forklift maintenance and monitor battery charge.
• Help keep the warehouse clean and organized.

Shifts available:2nd shift: Monday-Friday 4pm-12:30am3rd shift: Sunday 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday-Friday 12:00am-8:30amUse a variety of material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials on and off trucks or throughout the facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPut away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor heightPick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipmentMay choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) systemLoad and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting deviceRead and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouseDocument and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leadsMay need to pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items; otherwise, ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped before placement on racks or transporting through the warehouseComplete daily forklift maintenance/check sheetMonitor battery charge and leave material handling equipment at the designated storage area; may need to maintain and clean batteries, depending on siteAlert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problemHelp clean and organize the warehouse at the end or throughout the shiftADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning or manually inputting pallet identification numbersBasic math skillsAbility to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage LogisticsAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gearMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facilityAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededMust be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudWhy Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
