TOMRA, an international recycling company, is looking to fill the role of a Warehouse Inventory Specialist at our Shelton, CT facility.

$22.00/HR Plus Bonus

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm

Job Description

The Warehouse Inventory Technician is responsible for inventory control and the shipping and receiving of all parts and supplies. Inventory control includes cycle counts, year-end counts, assisting with auditors, inventory adjustments, etc. Additionally, this position will work closely with shop technicians assigned to the Tomra repair and refurbish facility in daily inventory and warehousing requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage parts inventory, including cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
2. Ship parts and products to customers and field service employees.
3. Manage daily warehouse tasks, including cleaning and organizing.
4. Assist with daily task assignments of shop technicians to meet field requirements.
5. Issue and document all parts, supplies, etc., pulled and returned from inventory.
6. Establish and maintain consistent inventory room hours for assigned technicians.
7. Assist with safety and environmental programs for shop operations and personnel.
8. Manage disposal of shop refuse, including scrap metal and hazardous waste.
9. Assist with the security of the facility.
10. Provide regular verbal and written reports to management regarding inventory, shop facilities, Tomra equipment, and other pertinent issues.

Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, manufacturing practices, and a Class C driver’s license is a plus.

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 3-4 years of shipping/receiving experience within a service parts business model.

Experience with UPS, FedEx, and other trucking and shipping systems preferred.
