Clerical / Administrative Support

Surgical SVS - Materials Management

Day

Sign On Bonus: $2,500

Orders and maintains par levels for inventory in the Surgical Services Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include:
  • Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
  • Conduct inventory counts, order, and restock items daily.
  • Maintain inventory levels based on current usage and par levels set by the Surgical Services Materials & Business Manager (SSMBM).
  • Work closely with the SSMBM and Nursing to ensure adequate supply levels are always available.
  • Review procedure schedules in Operating Room, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Endoscopy departments daily to ensure product availability.
  • Place requisitions for supply orders through Meditech.
  • Restock shelves on a first-in, first-out basis, keeping products neat, organized, and accessible.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Department to confirm orders and product availability.
  • Proactively check for product backorders, communicate, and provide updates to the SSMBM and Nursing.
  • Serve as Service Line Liaison, working with Operating Room Service Line Leaders on updates, concerns, and backorders.
  • Assist in the annual inventory count for Surgical Services.
  • Accept and document shipments of human donated tissue per hospital, state, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and in-services as required.
  • Complete annual competency requirements and document appropriately.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies including dress code, conduct, customer service, attendance, and health requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years healthcare experience preferred.
  • Previous Materials Management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel required.
  • Knowledge of Meditech system preferred.
