Job description

Are you ready to bring your skills to a company that values dedication, innovation, and quality? Utz Quality Foods, a beloved leader in the snack food manufacturing industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team in Hanover, PA.



In this full-time, day shift role, you'll be a vital link between our production, receiving, and logistics operations, helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless flow of materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.



Responsibilities:




  • Serve as backup to the Receiving Supervisor; support end-of-cycle inventory counts and interoffice deliveries




  • Systematically and physically unload raw materials into Plant 3




  • Work daily within inventory management systems like ADP, D365, Yard Management, and EAM




  • Lead and assist with physical inventory audits (monthly and annual)




  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts




  • Coordinate ordering, scheduling, and receiving of raw materials and packaging components




  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with the production scheduling team




  • Monitor and correct scanning errors to ensure accurate tracking




  • Audit systematic locations daily to maintain accurate stock levels




  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary)




  • Generate and maintain reports related to inventory and material movement




  • Support cross-functional teams with work orders, safety audits, and GMP compliance




  • Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement




Requirements:




  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics




  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (D365 preferred) and basic computer skills




  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills




  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment




  • A forklift certification or willingness to obtain one




  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills




  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols
