Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I to perform distribution center tasks using RF scanners, forklift, electric pallet jack, and WMS applications. You will handle receiving, pick, pack, ship and battery movements.

No experience is required, but familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. A high school diploma, strong communication, attention to detail, and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• No experience required; warehouse experience is a plus.
• Experience with RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack, and stretch-wrap machines preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn warehouse systems.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Process receiving, transfer, pick, pack and ship transactions accurately.
• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries and manage rotations.
• Operate forklift and maintain certification.
• Maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• General warehousing duties and housekeeping.
• Tag pallets and assist with transfers as needed.
